It’s been a while since Ear Candy for the Soul appeared as guests on The Day’s “Live Lunch Break” concert series. Last July, to be exact — when it was hot and balmy and fans filled the Hygienic Art Park in Hawaiian shirts.

The eclectic acoustic duo — violinist Dana Takaki and guitarist/singer/songwriter ArleneWow! — put on an enchanting show that day, boasting a number of tunes from their “Live at Silk City Music Factory, Vol. 1” album.

Since, Ear Candy has maintained a steady gigging schedule, adding a number of new original tunes and are kicking off 2016 with a show Sunday at the Steak Loft in Mystic. Since the snow is NOT going to slam us, and since the Patriots will be well on their way to a runaway stomp in Denver by the time EC takes the stage, you should be delighted for the opportunity to get out and enjoy some of their fine tuneage.
