Five-band bill set to play New London's Telegraph on Saturday

Brazen Youth members Charles Dahlke, left, and Nick Lussier (Dan Fish)

One doesn't have to veer far off the Hygienic Path Saturday to find even more live music and entertainment. Just across the street from the rear garden of Hygienic Galleries, New London's Telegraph Record Shop — home to billions and billions of deserving slabs of vinyl (we see you over there, "Chocolate Kings" by PFM!) — will host an evening of local acts titled "ROCK FIX: The Punk Awakens."

Head Telegrapher Rich Martin, newly retired from the Hygienic after years of fine service, presents an eclectic five-band bill, and the array of genres in the offing are artfully curated. Scheduled: The Brazen Youth (6 p.m.), The Foresters (7 p.m.), Brian & The White Birds (8 p.m.), Modern Primates (9 p.m.), and Dr. Martino (10 p.m.).

The evening is free to all — and all are invited to BYOB.

ROCK FIX: The Punk Awakens, 7 p.m. Saturday, Telegraph Records, 19 Golden St., New London; free; (860) 701-0506.
