A musical Celebration of Life honors Don Speicher

Music is such a powerful thing — a force that transcends space and time.

In that spirit, the Don Speicher Celebration of Life Charity Benefit takes place Saturday in Mystic's German Club.

Speicher, a Ledyard resident and music fan who passed away last December, was a member of the German Club and, in his honor, his family and friends have planned the event featuring blues artists Jeff Pitchell & Texas Flood with special guest Michael Allman. Rhode Island guitar hero Duke Robillard is also on hand, lending substantial sparkle — and all proceeds will benefit the Connecticut Family Support Network.
