Seaport announces new summer series
Mystic Seaport will host Arts on the Quad this summer, a series of outdoor concerts and theatrical performances, starting Saturday, July 2, with New London’s Flock Theatre performing “Romeo and Juliet.” The gate opens at 6 p.m. and the performance begins at 7 p.m. Park in the north lot and use the center entrance next to the yellow administration building at 75 Greenmanville Ave., Mystic.
Upcoming entertainment includes: July 6, Zydecats; July 20, Mystic Horns; Aug. 3, Salt March Opera; Aug. 6, Flock Theatre’s “The Taming of the Shrew;” Aug. 10, The Trombones of The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra; and Aug. 17, West End Blend.
Tickets for most concerts are $18 for members, $20 for non-members. Children age 5 and younger are free. Tickets for the Salt Marsh Opera program Aug. 3 are $20 for members, $25 for non-members.
