New Haven's deliciously eclectic, cello-happy, post-prog electro-folk band Olive Tiger performs Thursday at 33 Golden Street in New London. Signed to New London's small-but-esteemed Telegraph Recordings label, Olive Tiger released their debut album, "Until My Body Breaks," earlier this year and spent the fall touring behind the consistently fine work.

Anchored by the efforts of singer/songwriter/cellist Olive — but also enjoying significant contributions from bandmates Jesse Newman (violin), Dand Scozzari (drums) and John Greenawalt (bass) — Olive Tiger weaves a hypnotic and visionary spell both onstage and on record.

Arthur Moon and Iris Lune open the show.

    Olive Tiger, 8 p.m. Thursday, 33 Golden Street, 33 Golden St., New London; $5; (860) 443-1193.
