"Dancing with the Stars" tour comes to Mohegan Sun

Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater from "Dancing with the Stars" (ABC/Craig Sjodin)

After wrapping up its 24th season in May, ABC’s hit show "Dancing with the Stars" has returned to the road with its live "Hot Summer Nights" tour that comes to Mohegan Sun on Friday and Saturday.

The tour, which kicked off on June 16, will make stops in over 40 cities throughout the country, promising to dazzle audiences with duets, group numbers and original pieces in a 90-minute performance.

If you already enjoy watching lean dancers twirling around a stage in remnants of glittering fabric otherwise known as a costume, imagine seeing them perform in real time, slip-ups and all.

Professional dancers such as Lindsay Arnold, Sharna Burgess, Artem Chigvintsev and Sasha Farber are slated to perform, with more casting to be announced.

The highlight of the show, however, may very well be Season 24 winner and NFL running back Rashad Jennings’ performance with partner Emma Slater. Will they do a cha cha-tango fusion reminiscent of the final performance that won them the season title? You’ll have to show up to find out.

Dancing with the Stars: Live!, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Mohegan Sun Arena, $45; 1-800-745-3000.
