Oh, hold on! Apparently, it's the rising country group Old Dominion that will perform Friday in the Grand Theater — not a college football team. Apologies.
The band Old Dominion, featuring established Nashville songwriters Matt Ramsey, Trevor Rosen and Brad Tursi, embody the perfect formula for modern country success: hook-spangled tunes and harmonies along with flourishes of pop, rock and hip hop — but never at the expense of their honky tonk DNA. Here's the thing, though: Old Dominion has been together, struggling to get a deal and out of the clubs, for two decades — and it finally happened. Bravo!
Old Dominion, 8 p.m. Friday, Grand Theater, Foxwoods; $30, $40; 1-800-200-2882.
