Strange Brew opens new location in Norwich

Lots of folks have been missing the Strange Brew Pub in Norwich — and why not? It's one of the finest live-music venues in the region — with consistently quality acts, a variety of musical styles, and with always innovative themes.

It's been almost two months since the club closed the doors at its West Main Street location but, after mucho renovation, planning and investment, a new, improved Strange Brew Pub is reopening on the second floor of the former Chelsea Landing building in downtown — right on the harbor.

Up-to-the-last-minute activities are ongoing, but the December music calendar has been announced and, on Friday, a three-band bill is scheduled to perform in the new digs. Folk-rocking melodists Dirt Road Radio headline the show, with The Farther Free and The Noble Experiment appearing in support.

Glad to have the Brew back in action.

Dirt Road Radio, 8 p.m. Friday, Strange Brew Pub, 86-92 Water St., Norwich; $10; (860) 886-7600.
