Anyone who knows me well knows that I’m obsessed with French music. Starting to make waves in that scene is the 26-year-old Fishbach (Flora Fischbach), a promising up-and-coming French chanteuse whose music is a combination of singing reminiscent of those old-school French singers a la France Gall (RIP) and Francoise Hardy, and 80s-inspired synth and electro pop sounds that are oh so trendy at the moment. Fishbach just released her first album “À ta merci” (which can be streamed over Aperçu Apple Music or Youtube) after putting out a couple EPs since beginning her music career in 2010 (those can be found on her Bandcamp site). Her track titled “Un autre que moi,” from her EP of the same name, is my personal favorite.
