What are the major issues for your town? 1. Jobs and Economy. Foster and support efforts to attract business and industry, such as Zachry.
2. To maintain a strong tax base, to maintain a low mill rate, also, maintain the AAA bond rating enabling the town to complete projects at a lower interest rate.
3. Maintain the services provided in the town by good management of resources available.
What makes you the best candidate for this office? My goal is to make Stonington a better place to live. I was raised here, graduated from Stonington High, then I came back to Stonington as a teacher and coach. People know that I will do what is necessary to keep Stonington a great place to live and work. I have no hidden agendas, Stonington comes first!
What was the last book you read, and what did you think of it? "Open" an autobiography by Andre Agassi. Human saga of a tennis star. Detailed ups and downs of pro tennis life; failings and triumphs! Good book on what is gained and lost in professional athletes.
