Norwich names new police officer

Norwich – A 13-year veteran police officer and Connecticut native was sworn in today as a new Norwich police officer.

Sean Sullivan was previously a police officer in Rock Hill, SC and Hope Mills, NC. He also is a veteran of the U.S Army and the U.S. Army Reserve, having achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. Sullivan attended Pfeiffer University majoring in criminal justice.

Sullivan is originally from Connecticut and has recently moved back to Amston, with his wife and two daughters.

He will begin his state of Connecticut certification requirements and will start his Field Orientation Training Period with the Norwich Police Department immediately. Upon successful completion of his Comparative Certification and 10-week Field Orientation Training Period, Sullivan will be assigned to the Norwich department's patrol division as a patrol officer.
