The board of directors of the Old Saybrook Chamber of Commerce has announced the resignation of Judy Sullivan, its executive director.
Sullivan announced her plans on Friday, Feb. 17, to resign her position as the executive director of the chamber, effective March 2, to chamber president Gina Calabro, who then informed the board of directors.
An executive search will be conducted to find a new executive director. The chamber covers Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Essex, Killingworth, Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook.
Sullivan cited personal and family reasons for her departure.
"Judy has been an incredible asset to the chamber," said Calabro. "Thanks to her dedication, there has been growth in our membership as well as the implementation of several new programs and services for the benefit of our members. She will be missed."
