A winter storm watch has been issued for northern New London County starting Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service said 3 to 5 inches of snow is expected.
The morning commute should be fine, but the weather service said Wednesday’s evening commute could be hazardous as the snowfall is expected to be at its peak. The storm is expected to change into rain and sleet by Thursday morning.
A winter storm watch has not been issued yet for shoreline towns. Towns there are expected to get 1 to 2 inches of snow.
