General Dynamics boosts dividend

The board of directors of General Dynamics has declared a regular quarterly dividend of 51 cents per share on the company's common stock, payable May 11 to shareholders of record on April 13.

The dividend represents an 8.5 percent increase from the previous quarterly dividend of 47 cents per share.

General Dynamics, which owns the Groton-based Electric Boat shipyard, employs about 95,100 people worldwide. The company has interests in business aviation; land and expeditionary combat systems, armaments and munitions; shipbuilding and marine systems; and information systems and technologies.
