Storrs (AP) — The University of Connecticut's basketball teams are preparing for the postseason.
The women (29-4) likely will get a top seed in the NCAA tournament on Monday after winning the Big East tournament last week. They will play their first game in Bridgeport.
The defending national champion men (20-13) likely earned an at-large berth in the NCAA tourney by beating Pittsburgh at home in the regular-season finale and winning two games in the Big East tournament.
They are projected to be anywhere between a No. 8 and a No. 10 seed when the brackets are announced Sunday.
Just one other team from Connecticut has a chance to make the NCAA tournament. Sacred Heart's women can earn a berth Sunday with a win over Monmouth in the NEC championship game.
