Up until earlier today, I didn’t know Narragansett Beer ever had a theme song. But I was enlightened by my friend and former colleague Ian Donnis, who forwarded me this recording of Scott MacKay belting out (maybe an over statement) the tune after hearing word last month that the brewer wanted to relocate some of its operations to Rhode Island.

Scott is the political analyst at Rhode Island Public Radio and a former writer for the Providence Journal. There’s also a chance Scotty has a second career ahead of him as a musical performer.
