Stop making mockery of National Anthem

This is an issue I've addressed previously. However, this time I will propose a solution. The Star Spangled Banner is played/sung prior to most athletic events here in America. Quite often the performer(s) tend to put their own "spin" on the Anthem, quite often debasing, disgracing or otherwise making a mockery of it. I usually mute the renditions when I know they're about to be performed.

To preclude this practice going forward, I'd like to suggest the following: Instead of paying exorbitant sums of money to these "performers," simply play Kate Smith singing her original version of "God bless America."
