Waterford police charge four with shoplifting, two with assault

Waterford - Police on Monday charged four New London residents with shoplifting from the H&M at the Crystal Mall.

Two of the alleged shoplifters also fought with police after being confronted, although police did not report any serious injuries.

Shanae Strong, 20, of 43 Linden St., New London, was charged with conspiracy, third-degree assault and breach of peace. Kashan Brown, 20, of 47 Linden St., New London, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy, breach of peace and assault on a police officer.

Myeisha Brown, 19, of 104 Ocean Ave., New London, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy and breach of peace. Danisha Acosta, 19, of 147 Vauxhall St., New London, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy and breach of peace.

All four were released from police custody on a promise to appear in court. Police said the incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call (860) 442-9451.
