					<p><p>The Ivoryton Library Board of Trustees has appointed Elizabeth Alvord to the position of director. Alvord has been a dedicated member of the library staff for the past 12 years, serving as the assistant director and the children's librarian. She has been instrumental in creating innovative programs and has worked collaboratively with area and school libraries. Prior to her assuming this position at the library, Alvord served on the Board of Trustees as president.<br class="hardreturn" />
<p>Alvord has been a resident of Ivoryton since 1998 with her husband Rich and children Kevin and Julianna.<br class="hardreturn" />
<p>The Ivoryton Library is a private, non-profit association serving the greater community. The library loans books and other visual and audio materials, and provides research assistance. It also creates educational, historical, cultural, and civic programs of interest to the community.<br class="hardreturn" /></p>
