UPDATED: Jet skier killed in Lyme

Lyme —A 34-year-old Wolcott man was killed Sunday when the jet ski he was riding struck a private dock in Hamburg Cove on the Connecticut River.

Department of Energy and Environmental Protection police responded to the area at 6 p.m.

DEEP spokesman Dwayne Gardner identified the victim as Austin P. Mordowanec. Lyme emergency medical responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
