As an independent voter, I was delighted to read Paul Choiniere's commentary on the confusing aspects of the Affordable Care Act scenario (July 8, "Health care craziness; beam me up").
His description of the delusions, misinformation, and changes in direction was right on.
Gary Trudeau, author of the Doonesbury comic strip, instructed the Smith College class of 1987 to "ask the impertinent question, because only by so doing will you find the pertinent answer."
These are words to live by as we vote this fall.
