In a special athletic award ceremony at the end of the school year, Country School students who competed on interscholastic athletic teams were honored for their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments.
As has become school tradition, the vast majority of middle school students participated on at least one team this year, competing in the Connecticut Independent School Athletic League. Athletic Director Chris Wallack said this year's crop of athletes lived up to all of his expectations.
"The Country School fielded 15 teams this school year, many with outstanding won/lost records," he said. "But most evident on so many occasions was the combination of teamwork, sportsmanship, and graciousness that continues to be the cornerstone of the athletic program."
