"Champions of the Deep," a new family-adventure film shot in Rhode Island, premieres next week, before rolling out to cities across the country this fall. The film, starring youth martial artists Tyler Weaver Jr., Dayna Huor and Caitlin Dechelle was shot on Misquamicut Beach in Westerly and several other Rhode Island locations. The story "emphasizes the importance of stewardship of the oceans and an overall message of perseverance despite all adversities," according to a press release.
