Mother and daughter Elaine and Karin Tammi will discuss their cookbook devoted to scallops, "Scallops: A New England Coastal Cookbook" today from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Westerly Public Library. The book features interviews, color photos and recipes from chefs, farmers, scallopers and scientists.
To mark Julia Child's 100 birthday in August, Elaine and Karin also will share some of their correspondences and chats that they had with her about scallops.
Books will be available for purchase and the authors will sign books.
