Two people with local ties graduated from military training.

Air Force Reserve Airman Gianni C. Ramos graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Ramos, the son of Edwin Ramos, of New London, and Susan Ramos, of Florida, is a 2001 graduate of New London High School.

Army Pfc. Joshua T. Muller graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. Muller, the son of Danielle Buckley of Plainville, is a 2007 graduate of East Lyme High School.
