Based on the cartoon published by The Day Aug. 23, political cartoonist Pat Oliphant has either never read the book "Atlas Shrugged," or missed the point of the story altogether.

The book was written about 40 years ago and predicted what would likely happen when a government got too large and took over the large companies formally run by the rich (a form of distribution of wealth). It essentially predicted what is happening in this country now.

This book should be required reading in all colleges where liberal agendas are the norm. The message of this book is just the opposite from that shown by the cartoon.
