The CT Bombers Softball clinics - 14th annual Fall-Ball Girls' Fastpitch Softball skills clinics and league for girls entering grades 5-12, begins Sept. 8 and runs through Oct. 28. All activities will be held at Giddings Park, Route 207 in North Franklin. Saturdays will be for grades 5-8, Sundays for grades 9-12. The first weekend (Sept. 8-9) will be instructional clinics and skills drills instilling or reenforcing proper mechanics and decision making. The following seven weekends will be double headers, culminating in the crowning of league champions. University of Hartford women's basketball's Walk for Weaver - The University of Hartford Women's Basketball family is coming together to support former player Amanda Weaver (Class of 2011) in her fight against Colon Cancer. The "Walk for Weaver" will be held Saturday Sept. 8 at Hartford's Reich Family Pavilion. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with the walk beginning at 10 a.m.

East Lyme Lyme Aquatic and Fitness Center - Accepting registrations for the following fall programs: Youth swim lessons (ages 3 months to 16 years, begins Sept. 8).
