Schedule set for fourth try at passing North Stonington budget

North Stonington The Board of Finance set a schedule Wednesday night for the fourth attempt to pass a town budget for the current fiscal year.

A community dialogue about the budget will be held Sept. 17. The Board of Finance will hold two meetings to review and revise the budget Sept. 19 and the 26. A town meeting will follow Oct. 15, and the referendum will be held Oct. 22.

Chairman Dan Spring said details about the times and locations of the meetings and referendum are forthcoming. A postcard will be sent out to residents and information will be posted on the town's website.
