Labor conference to convene in Mystic

Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman will welcome members of the Intrastate Labor Standards Association when they kick off a conference Monday at the Mystic Hilton to discuss child-labor laws, worker misclassification, health and wage protections and prevailing wage law.

Retiring state Sen. Edith Prague,

D-Columbia, will be recognized during a luncheon for her service and dedication to worker rights and protections. Local tourism leader Ed Dombroskas will also give remarks.

The 48th annual ILSA conference, titled "Promoting Prosperity for Employees and Employers through Labor Standards," will run through Friday and will attract people from across the U.S. and beyond.
