I read the newspapers see the political ads on television and am astonished how we as Americans choose to elect someone based on the attacks that the opponents amount on each other. I personally want to hear or read about what the candidates are going to do to alleviate or fix the problems with the country right now. The reason the unemployment rate is not even higher is that many citizens have run out of their unemployment benefits and are not counted in the weekly rate. And we are getting into seasonal employment so those numbers make the job rate look better than it really is. The simplest question is: Are you better off now than you were four years ago? The answer in my case is, no.

I also want to know how the politicians are going to repair the morals and standards of families that have gone by the wayside. I don't believe in censorship but in certain areas it is needed. Case in point, Reality Television, and how certain things that used to be intolerable are now tolerated.
