Election letters policy

The deadline for submitting letters concerning the Nov. 6 election is Oct. 22. No letters received after that date will be considered for publication online or in print. Because of heavy volume, The Day cannot guarantee publication of all election letters, but will provide a fair sampling of letters received. Letters should not include unsubstantiated claims or allegations. As with all letters, there is a 200-word limit. Only letters specifically written for publication in The Day and on theday.com will be considered. The Day will edit for clarity, length, grammar, style and taste.
