Preston – An accident on Route 2 in front of Town Hall has forced the temporary closure of the road as crews clear the scene.

State police at Troop E in Montville said the crash, reported at around 5:20 p.m., resulted in minor injuries. The road was reopened shortly before 7 p.m.

The Preston Board of Selectmen was scheduled to meet at Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. First Selectman Robert Congdon said the meeting would begin at 6:45 p.m. at the earliest.
