Rapper Jim Jones, arrested in February after a brawl at Foxwoods Resort Casino, has resolved his court case by pleading guilty to interfering with police and paying a $1,000 fine.

The 36-year-old Jones, also known as “Capo,” is identified in court files as Joseph G. Jones of Newark, N.J. He had been charged with breach of peace, interfering with police and inciting to riot when a brawl broke out in the foyer of the MGM Grand at Foxwoods after a party hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs in honor of Foxwoods’ 20th anniversary.

Jones, a hip-hop artist and actor whose “We Fly High” was one of 2007’s top-selling rap tracks, appeared in New London Superior Court Tuesday with his lawyer, Steven J. Savva, to resolve his criminal case. The state’s attorney’s office agreed not to prosecute Jones on the breach of peace and inciting riot charges if he pleaded guilty to interfering with police, a misdemeanor, and paid a $1,000 fine.

Seneca M. Lockwood, 35, of New York, N.Y., also arrested in the brawl, resolved his case by pleading guilty to breach of peace and paying a $500 fine.

The cases of two other alleged participants, Serron Riley, 21, of New York, N.Y., and David Dixon, 22, of 788 Lantern Hill Road, Ledyard, are pending.
