Brew fests abound

Published October 04. 2012 4:00AM

It's not just a wonderful dream. It's REAL.

Back-to-back brew fests!

Friday, under the pavilion at New London's Ocean Beach Park, the NL Rotary Club presents the autumn rendition of their biannual Brewfest at the Beach. You know the glorious drill: over 150 beers from around the world, food and live music from the Rhythm Method Band - and the usual neighborly conviviality. Plus, the event benefits Camp Rotary & New London Rotary Foundation Charity Projects.

Then, on Saturday and Sunday in the Uncas Ballroom at the Mohegan Sun Resort Casino, the first ever Sun Brewfest takes place. There will be three different sessions, each offering samples from over 100 international breweries as well as food offerings from restaurants like Michael Jordan's 23 Sports Cafe, Jaspar White's Summer Shack and the Bow & Arrow Sports Bar.

This is a 72-hour stretch you'll never forget - if indeed you can remember it! So have fun, but be careful.
