Groton -  The Groton Town Council is inviting Groton citizens to participate in an informal conversation regarding the FYE 2014 Budget and the challenges associated with rising costs and decreasing revenues. The gathering will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Oct. 13 at the Groton Senior Center.

Town Councilors will meet with Groton citizens to hear their ideas and suggestions concerning the budget process while helping residents gain a better understanding of the town’s responsibilities and limitations.

“The council is hopeful the session will help to alleviate a tone of criticism and complaint and instead create an open dialogue concerning the difficult and complex issues facing the Town of Groton,” Groton Town Manager Mark Oefinger said in a written statement.

For more information contact the Groton town manager’s office at (860) 441-6633.
