AARP is offering its Driver Safety Course free for veterans, current military personnel and their families in November.

The offer saves up to $14 off the regular classroom fee. The online course will be available at half price. Formal ID is not required. The course teaches defensive driving skills and the rules of the road. Connecticut residents ages 60 and older, by law, qualify for a minimum 5 percent automobile liability insurance discount for at least two years by completing the course.

To find a course, visit www.aarp.org/findacourse or call 1-888-AARP-NOW (1-888-227-7669). Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
