KENT, Conn. (AP) — There are no plans for Vice President Joe Biden to make any campaign appearances with Democratic candidates when he visits Connecticut for a fundraising event.

The nation's No. 2 Democrat is scheduled to appear at a Saturday reception in Kent. The event is billed as a joint fundraising event to raise money for state Democratic parties in political battleground states.

Connecticut's Democratic Party is not benefitting financially from the event, said spokeswoman Elizabeth Larkin. Tickets range in price from $100 to $10,000. Larkin confirmed there are no plans for Biden to campaign while he's in the state.

Broadway star and television actress Audra McDonald is scheduled to perform at the event, as well as a group of entertainers that includes Christine Baranski, Oliver Platt and Sam Waterston.
