Mashantucket Pequot Fire Department to host open house Saturday

Mashantucket — The Mashantucket Pequot Fire Department will hold a Fire Prevention Open House on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mashantucket Pequot Public Safety Building, 101 Pequot Trail.

This event, which is free and open to the public, will include fire prevention demonstrations, New London's hazard house and smoke house and American Red Cross demonstrations. There also will be appearances by Smokey the Bear, Officer Fox and Pluggie the Fire Hydrant.

A free lunch will be served.
