Stonington — Borough resident Betsy Wade, the first woman ever hired as a copy editor by The New York Times, will discuss gender issues in the media as part of the La Grua Center’s Burrowing into the Borough Series on Sunday at 5 p.m. The talk is free and open to the public.
Wade will also discuss a discriminataion lawsuit against the Times by its female employees. Wade will be joined by UConn professor, journalist, and current Director of The Day, Maureen Croteau.
