Family health center to host community fair Oct. 24

Norwich - The Edward & Mary Lord Family Health Center, 47 Town St., will host a community health fair from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24.

Students from the University of Connecticut Schools of Dental Medicine, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy and from the Quinnipiac University Physician Assistant Program will be at the fair providing health promotion and education information to attendees.

People can learn about diabetes, hypertension, oral hygiene, nutrition, breast cancer and medication interactions, among other topics. Free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings will be offered.
