One of the attributes Harry Watson has as a candidate for the 41st District state House of Representatives' seat is his knowledge of local government having served for 22 years. His consecutive service as a Groton town councilor and mayor are matched by none.

During his tenure on the Council, we in southeastern Connecticut have survived three rounds of BRAC, during the last of which he was mayor. The submarine base is of utmost importance to our local and state economy and Harry understands this. As a legislator in Hartford, he will be a voice to protect this valuable asset for all of our service families and the businesses that depend on its presence.
