Preston Redevelopment Agency schedules Norwich Hospital tours

Published October 15. 2012 5:00PM   Updated October 15. 2012 5:48PM

Preston – The Preston Redevelopment Agency will hold two bus tours of the former Norwich Hospital property on Oct. 27 and 28 in anticipation of a future town meeting and referendum seeking $4 million in local matching funds for a state loan and federal grant.

The bus tours will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. and Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. Residents are asked to park near the cemetery and in front of the Kettle Building on the main campus. The Board of Selectmen and Board of Finance will hold a joint meeting Nov. 1 to discuss the funding issues.

Because of ongoing construction on the property, tour participants will not get off the bus during the tour, PRA member Linda Riegel said.
