Montville — The Dinosaur Place at Nature’s Art recently donated $5,000 to Safe Futures, the organization formerly known as the Women’s Center of Southeastern Connecticut.

The donation will be used to support a variety of anti-violence programming and shelter needs for victims of domestic abuse. Safe Futures operates an emergency shelter and a transitional living program for families whose members have survived domestic violence or sexual assault. It also provides legal assistance and other support for towns in the region.

This is the seventh year that the Dinosaur Place at Nature’s Art has donated to Safe Futures. The Dinosaur Place at Nature’s Art is a family-oriented activity center that features activities with fossils, lifesize dinosaurs, gems, rocks and minerals.
