Norwich — Norwich Free Academy's Kyle Liang and Brianna Lenehan won the individual titles Thursday in the Eastern Connecticut Conference cross country championship meet at the Norwich Golf Course.

Liang won the boys' race in a time of 17:09, with Ben Ostrowski of East Lyme second in 17:13 and Connor Gralton of St. Bernard third in 17:20. East Lyme won the team title — its first since 1970 — with 60 points and NFA was second with 89. Division titles went to East Lyme (ECC Large), Stonington (ECC Medium) and St. Bernard (ECC Small).

Lenehan ran a 19:39, to edge out defending champion Kerri Ruffo of Plainfield (19:55). Eva Christensen of East Lyme finished third. Griswold won the team title with 61 points, with Plainfield second at 82. Fitch edged NFA for third place, meaning the two teams will share the ECC Large Division title. Plainfield (ECC Medium) and Griswold (ECC Small) also won division titles.
