The Jonnycake Center of Westerly is looking for volunteers this Thursday to help paint and restore the home of a family led by a 20-year-old caring for his three younger siblings.

The court has mandated that improvements be made on the house to comply with local property standards. Unless improvements are made soon, the house will not be able to be occupied.

To help out from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., fill out a form found online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QYCTT9S and center representatives will make contact.

Rain date for the event is Friday.

Experience with painting and comfort with heights would be helpful. Anyone handy with a hammer is also invited. Paint for the entire exterior and interior has been donated.

For more information, call Monica Gambino at (401) 331-2298.
