Ledyard — Police are investigating a report of a possible armed robbery that occurred early this morning at the end of Crocker Hill Road.
Ledyard police along with state police began to investigate the incident, which was reported at about 12:38 a.m.
Area police were notified of the vehicle description and assisted with the search.
Police said it does not appear at this time that a Norwich police pursuit that occurred about an hour later is connected to the Ledyard robbery.
Police said an initial investigation uncovered that the victims and the suspects were known to each other and had planned to meet. After the meeting, the victims said the two suspects stole a large amount of money from them at gunpoint and had fled the area.
Ledyard police said they have significant leads in the case. The robbery remains under investigation.
