Don't believe anyone, do your own research

I read the various advocacy letters (for both parties) in The Day with a mixture of amazement and disbelief. Many are so filled with half-truths, distortions, and just plain errors that I could not hope to refute them within the length limitations set by the letter-writing rules.

Stop listening to, and apparently believing, all the talking points of the political candidates. Instead, check their voting records on an Internet site like www.votesmart.org and view some facts. Become an informed voter!
