I am proud and honored to announce the appreciation that I have for Congressman Joe Courtney and his staff for all their help to complete my recent Civil Service Retirement Claim.

After the U.S. Offices of Personnel Management (OPM) failed to respond to my phone call and two letters, I contacted our honorable senator's and then Congressman Courtney for help via certified mail.

Unfortunately, I never received any communication from one senator, and I received a phone call from the second senator's office 19 weeks after his office received my letter.

Needless to say, I was ecstatic when Congressman Joe Courtney's Norwich Office contacted me on the very same day my letter was received and my retirement claim was complete within 30 days.

Although my experience may seem insignificant, the point I'm trying to convey is that Congressman Courtney and his staff are extremely committed to helping people in this district, our state, and across the country.
