Local police searching for missing Waterford man

Waterford – Police are looking for an 83-year-old man with dementia who may have wandered from his home.

Shephard Linscott was last seen late Wednesday afternoon, police said, wearing a maroon sweat shirt and navy blue slacks. Linscott, who is white, stands 5-foot-7-inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has gray hair and blue eyes, police said. He wears glasses and has a tattoo on his left shoulder, police said.

Linscott likes to walk in places with a water view or on beaches, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterford police at (860) 442-9451.

The New London Police Department has contributed a K9 and its handler to the search and the Oswegatchie Fire Department also is searching for Linscott.
