Connecticut is struggling in a tough economy. The current unemployment rate is nine percent, an increase over last year and higher than the national average. Connecticut is ranked as one of the worst states in the country in which to do business (44th) and ranked the worst state in the country to retire (50th). We need our state senator to help us become a better state for the people.
Cindy Cartier is a Connecticut native, has a professional career as an attorney, and is an owner of local businesses and an active proven leader in Guilford's government. Cindy is realistic. She follows the numbers, talks to people about business, works a business, and knows how to balance the checkbook, because she has to balance a checkbook to support her employees. She believes the realistic solution does not involve more taxes and more spending along the rubber stamping route that brought Connecticut to the present economic condition. She will be the independent voice we need for the 12th Senate District.
If your readers want to improve Connecticut, we can start by voting in Cindy Cartier as a new state senator.
